Best Practices in Sepsis Care - A Simulation Partnership

Simulation in Motion Montana (SIM-MT) is proud to announce the launch of the latest simulation initiative program, made possible by the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN). Best Practices in Sepsis Care addresses identified gaps in the care of septic patients in Montana through an innovative hands-on simulation-based program built for Montana Hospital Association (MHA) members.

Participants will complete a 60-minute online interactive learning program that reviews Montana data and national best practices in Sepsis care.

On completion of the online program participants are eligible to participate in on-site sepsis-based simulation with Simulation in Motion Montana. For a limited time, this training is fully subsidized by HIIN.

This activity has been submitted to the Montana Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Montana Nurses Association is accredited with distinction as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Part One - Online

Participants will complete a 60-minute online interactive learning program that reviews Montana data and national best practices in Sepsis care. On completion a certificate will be E-mail to the participant and they are eligible to participate in on-site simulation based sepsis training.

Part Two - On-site Simulation

For a limited time HIIN Member Facilities are eligible for FULLY SUBSIDIZED onsite sepsis simulation training. Note; most simulations need to be booked 90 days in advance, all participants must complete the online training (part one) prior the scheduled simulation event(s)

HIIN Member Testimonials

A truly fun and engaging learning experience for our staff. It helped our staff better understand the different methods of early identification and they were also able to think through and anticipate the next steps with labs, treatment and plan of care. The group got as much out of the debriefing as they did the simulation as well. I highly recommend this training to others if you are wanting to get ahead of sepsis.
