Best Practices in Sepsis Care - A Simulation Partnership

Best Practices in Sepsis Care

Simulation in Motion Montana (SIM-MT) is proud to announce the launch of the latest simulation initiative program, made possible by the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN). Best Practices in Sepsis Care addresses identified gaps in the care of septic patients in Montana through an innovative hands-on simulation-based program built for Montana Hospital Association (MHA) members.

Participants will complete a 60-minute online interactive learning program that reviews Montana data and national best practices in Sepsis care.

On completion of the online program participants are eligible to participate in on-site sepsis-based simulation with Simulation in Motion Montana. For a limited time, through March 2020, this training is fully subsidized by HIIN.

NOTE: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Time Is Running Out!

This fully subsidized program ends this March, 2020.

Most simulations need to be booked 90 days in advance and all participants must also first complete the online training (Part One) prior to the scheduled simulation event(s).

Take advantage of this special program while there's still time!
Part One - Online Program

Participants will complete a 60-minute online interactive learning program that reviews MT data and national best practices in Sepsis care. On completion, a certificate will be emailed to the participant and they are eligible to participate in on-site simulation based sepsis training.

HIIN Member Testimonials

"A truly fun and engaging learning experience for our staff. It helped our staff better understand the different methods of early identification and they were also able to think through and anticipate the next steps with labs, treatment and plan of care. The group got as much out of the debriefing as they did the simulation as well. I highly recommend this training to others if you are wanting to get ahead of sepsis." -Stacey Wood, RN, BSN Clinical Educator, Infection Prevention, Employee Health
“This was a great simulation! It really prepared us for the real thing.” -Provider, CPMC, Libby MT 10/30/18
“This program was awesome! The mannequin’s (simulators) interactions ability were incredible! I am excited to see what courses are offered next!” -TM, CRT, CPMC, Libby MT 10/30/18
