Simulation in Motion Montana, Inc. is proud to offer—through a subsidy provided by the CDC in partnership with MT EMSTS/DPHHS—Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS) simulation. This fully subsidized simulation-based experiential learning is available to address the growing concern of newborns whom are born chemically dependent. As the opioid epidemic continues to affect our communities, it is vital that all clinicians are aware of the best practice care for Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS) newborns. The care for these fragile patients requires rethinking the clinical approach through experiential learning and updating best practices in care guidelines.
This program is custom built for hospital-based clinicians, nurses, providers, and allied health professionals in the care of the chemically dependent newborn (NOWS) and mothers.
We strongly encourage all Montana hospitals to reserve their fully subsidized NOWS simulation training as soon as possible. Requests will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
NOTE: All fully subsidized simulations must be completed by February 29, 2020.
